Up and coming Essendon star Zach Merrett this morning made the stunning admission that his team mates are looking to replicate the Bulldogs success by winning and unexpected premiership. His team mates, most of which spent the majority of 2016 serving a doping ban, should be feeling relatively refreshed.
Now I haven’t spoken to any of the opposition players or coaches for a response, but from what I’ve been told, they are probably saying things such as:
“I love Zachie as a player. He is courageous and hard at the ball. But he needs to lay off the crack”

Not all sportsmen shared this opinion however. Legendary winter Olympian, Steven Bradbury, came to Zach’s defence. When quizzed, Bradbury might have said:
“Zach should never stop believing. Without believing, I would never be where I am today. Hold on, where am I?”
